Little Mountain Yoga is a small, intimate studio where students receive personalized care and instruction by highly qualified teachers. Our teachers are skilled at offering mix-level classes, providing an opportunity for everyone to practice at their own pace.

You have the choice of registering in a class, purchasing a pass or dropping in. Please contact us if you have any questions. You are welcome to drop-in and try any of our classes unless otherwise specified. If a registered series has already begun, you may join in at a pro-rated fee.

Early Morning Hatha

Begin your day with yoga! Join Micheline every Tuesday and Thursday for Early Morning Hatha class at 7:15-8:30am. All levels welcome.

Hatha (All Levels)

You will learn the classical asanas (postures), breathing (pranayama) and postural awareness and alignment. Each class is inspired by the needs of individual students and typically incorporates a theme (core strengthening, postural awareness). Every class ends with a healthy, long savasana. Suitable for all levels. Beginner friendly.

Hatha Flow

Hatha Flow links the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that "flow" with the breath. Expect creative variations of Sun Salutations and standing poses followed by juicy hamstring stretches, hip openers and a long savasana. No two classes are ever the same as Nancy always teaches to the needs and energy of the class. Suitable for injury free students with some previous yoga experience and/or physical activity.

Hatha Flow/Level 2

This class is intended for students with previous yoga experience. Nancy teaches to the abilities and energy of the class; we might travel from reclined bolster work to arm balances and inversions or stay low to the ground and work our core. Whatever the asana practice, the primary focus is to cultivate awareness and connection to our mind, body and breath. Suitable for injury free students with some previous yoga and/or physical activity experience.

Yoga for Back Care/Core Awareness

The focus of this class is to cultivate awareness to the relationship between your posture, your pain and your habits of movement. You will learn breathing techniques to ease tension from your mind and body and practice gentle yoga postures to build both strength and flexibility. You will become well acquainted with your "inner corset" as you build a strong, healthy core. Suitable for all levels. Beginner friendly.

Roll and Stretch: Yoga-on-the-ball

Experience Micheline's own unique, creative blend of Body Rolling and Yoga. As you roll through your body on a 6" inflated rubber ball, you essentially tone and strengthen muscles, stimulate bones and release deep rooted tensions in the body. As you brighten your awareness to your mind, body and breath you are more open to receive the deeply healing and self-care benefits of both Body Rolling and Yoga. It's a perfect combination and highly recommend for less flexible bodies.

Yoga Therapy

Private Yoga Therapy Sessions

Yoga Therapy offers many possibilities for individuals to have a yoga practice that is uniquely suited to their own personal physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We all have imbalances and some of them become chronic conditions. Yoga therapy uses the tools of yoga (breath, grounding, alignment) to holistically restore health and balance in our body, mind and soul.

The process begins with a private consultation with a yoga therapist. The consultation allows time for the therapist to thoroughly discuss your needs and to gain a better understanding of who you are. Your yoga therapist will view your structural alignment (with an option for digital photography) and then guide you through a series of gentle movements and yoga postures to determine flexibility, mobility and strength. You will leave your yoga therapy session with some practical tools to assist you in bringing balance back to your mind and body.

Your yoga therapist will then develop a home practice tailored to suit your specific needs and goals. At your second appointment, you will be given a visual diagram of your personalized home practice and your therapist will teach and lead you through it. You are encouraged to follow your home practice regularly and you are welcome to contact your yoga therapists with any questions or concerns. Depending on your needs, follow up sessions may be necessary in order to revise and update your personal practice. As your body shifts so will your home practice.

Cranio Sacral Therapy

Nancy's training in CranioSacral Therapy is through the renowned Upledger Institute. She has successfully helped many adults and children with a wide range of pain and symptoms such as whiplash (car accident injuries), autism, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, pre and post dental work, depression, insomnia, neck or back pain and stress. CranioSacral therapy is a very gentle form of manual therapy which uses light touch to enhance immune system efficiency and encourage the body 's innate healing abilities. The treatment is done fully clothed and without oils.
