At Little Mountain Yoga students will receive personalized care and instruction by highly qualified teachers. Our classes are perfect for students dealing with pain or disability that might not be adequately addressed in a regular yoga class.

Nancy Frohlick

Director of Little Mountain Yoga
Nancy offers you over 15 years of Hatha yoga practice and training. Her teaching style combines her knowledge of precise alignment and an inward focus with the intention of cultivating ease in mind, body and soul. Nancy's teaching style is influenced by her past and present teachers: Shiva Rea, Donna Farhi, Erich Schiffmann, Gioia Irwin, Kate Potter, Deb Swan, Leila Stuart and Eve Johnson. She credits the renowned Upledger Institute for her studies in CranioSacral therapy and Leila Stuart for her Yoga Therapy training. When away from teaching yoga &  running her new yoga studio, Little Mountain Yoga, Nancy enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband, 13 year-old son and their big babies teddy (rotweiller) and alice (harlequin great dane).

Diana Batts

Diana's teaching comes for her practice of finding stillness whether flowing with the breath, holding a pose for a long time, or sitting in meditation. In stillness we connect with our bodies and can use the breath to quiet the mind and heal the body. Diana's classes are known for being relaxing and quietly challenging, integrating breath and movement with grounding and alignment. Diana draws on over twenty years of practice and seven years of study and teaching. She encourages students to practice with open inquiring minds in a safe and supportive environment. Life is a gift; yoga is a blessing. As Thich Nhat Hanh teaches, this is it!

Brenna Coupland

Brenna Coupland is a certified hatha, prenatal and kids yoga instructor. She grew up in Winnipeg where she practiced dance for 8 years, and also completed a diploma program in Culinary Arts and Design. She was first introduced to yoga through her Baba at a small church class at the age of 12 (at which time she thought 'Yoga' was a country!). From there, her affinity for the practice took off. She moved to Vancouver in 2007 and completed various yoga trainings and workshops. Her classes are gentle but joyous, with a focus on exploration and curiosity.

Micheline Gauthier

Micheline discovered the powerful healing practice of Yamuna Body Rolling in 2003 after suffering from a series of debilitating injuries in her body. Her chiropractor suggested she try this self-care approach to deep-tissue massage that promotes healing and relaxation of the muscles and joints. After just a few weeks of Yamanu Body Rolling classes, Micheline experienced significant changes in her energy level, flexibility and overall range of motion. She felt looser in her body and mind as well-in fact "better than she'd felt in years!" In 2004, Micheline received her YBR (Yamanu Body Rolling) teaching certification from Yamuna Zake. Since then, Micheline began training in Hatha yoga which she now judiciously combines with Body Rolling in her personal practice as well as her professional work. Roll and Stretch Yoga is Micheline's own unique, creative blend of Body Rolling and Yoga. Her immensely popular SAVE YOUR BODY series are a huge hit at little mountain yoga. "Nancy has a certain presence that seems to embody the whole spirit of yoga. I found Nancy to be a role model, somebody to emulate, rather than "just" a yoga teacher. Plus she has the most fantastic, soothing voice!"  - Christine
